The Cardiothoracic Section of the Royal Society of Medicine announced a conference on “Frontiers: Simulation in Cardiothoracic Surgery.”
The Sprint Team was represented on this meeting by Orsolya Friedrich who is a trainee congenital surgeon in the Royal Brompton Hospital and is also heavily involved with our efforts on developing new departmental guideline for emergency postoperative resternotmy.
Her presentation – Investigation of inter professional team practice during simulated emergency resternotomy in post-operative patients with congenital Heart Disease – was very well received by the audience and won the President’s Prize on 13th November 2015.
