Julie is a trained facilitator and graduate of the Boston Children’s Hospital Simulation instructor workshop; she has been a member of the SPRinT faculty since 2010, with a special interest in inter-professional education.

Julie worked at University College London Hospital as Associate Director of Clinical Education, responsible for driving a vision of equal access to effective high quality education across all disciplines in order to promote organisational effectiveness. She had professional oversight of the Trust Simulation Centre, delivering over 200 programmes a year for PGME, nursing and allied health professionals while collaborating with all professional education leads and commissioner such as HEE.

Julie has extensive experience as a nurse working within the speciality of cardio-thoracic paediatric intensive care. She specialised in retrieval services and education within The Royal Brompton Paediatric directorate with responsibility for the continued professional development of the nursing workforce. More recently Julie has taken on role as a national clinical programme manager implementing innovative technology enhanced patient pathways.

One of Julie’s most fascinating experiences has been in designing curricula utilising simulation and blended approaches for health care professionals while serving on Paediatric Cardiac medical missions in a developing country.
