Dr Korb graduated in Medicine and obtained specialty qualifications in Paediatrics and Paediatric Intensive Care in Brazil. While developing a keen interest in medical education and research, she was awarded a Master of Science degree in Paediatric and Child’s Health in 2013. Her involvement with simulation started as PALS course instructor with the American Heart Association in 2010. Since 2015, she has been working with the Simulated InterPRofessional Team Training (SPRinT) programme at Royal Brompton Hospital, focusing on crisis resource management and human factor training.

She has completed the SPRinT Introductory and Advanced Facilitators courses and serves as SPRinT Faculty. Dr Korb is also member of the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH) and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). Her research interest in simulation includes paediatric emergency resternotomy after cardiac surgery, use of the innovative open chest model, team performance improvement through in-situ simulation, and quality CPR.
