SPRinT showcases emergency simulation to Friends

This month members of the award-winning SPRinT programme (Simulated Paediatric Resuscitation Team Training) demonstrated a full high fidelity emergency simulation to the Friends of Royal Brompton.
The Friends have been instrumental in developing the SPRinT programme, to date having raised £55,000 for high-fidelity simulation equipment.

Dr Margarita Burmester, consultant paediatric intensivist and joint director of SPRinT, led the tributes to The Friends for their unwavering support of the programme.

Dr Burmester said: “Every week an emergency crash call will alert the paediatric arrest team to a SPRinT training session in Royal Brompton’s PICU, or indeed, anywhere in the hospital where children may be cared for.
