September, 2013 – SPRinT was represented at the 27th annual Paediatric Intensive Care Society Conference held in September in London at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Our SPRinT Team Coordinator, Lydia Lofton, presented a poster on the “Feasibility of Pop-Up defibrillation workshops in a cardiorespiratory PICU”. The conference provided an opportunity to engage in conversation with other centres both nationally and internationally regarding the use of simulation in paediatric intensive care units for improvement in training of staff for critical events, and ultimately improvement in patient safety.
