Malia graduated in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Children’s Nursing and has been working in the PICU since. Having started as a new graduate nurse she has developed her skills and knowledge and is now a Deputy Sister on the unit. Malia is a competent ECMO specialist and CVVH nurse. She has a special interest in pain management and patient safety. Malia has been involved in a number of projects, most recently has been instrumental in implementing the Difficuly Airway Trolley. This project was presented at the World Airway Management Meeting (2019) and was shortlisted for a Quality Improvement award. She is currently studying for her MSc in Cardiorespiratory Nursing.
