James is an IT specialist who has a keen interest in medical simulation and healthcare IT. He has worked in the UK and in his native Ireland, on multiple complex IT projects including open source web development and comprehensive server infrastructure solutions.
On gaining his BSc, James commenced work at Royal Brompton Hospital, and has been an integral part of the SPRinT programme since its conception.
James is responsible for all aspects of the SPRinT programme from a technical IT perspective. He has developed innovative technical solutions to enhance SPRinT courses, and has supported more than 90% of all SPRinT simulations. He is a faculty member of the introductory and advanced STeLI funded facilitators team training course, training NHS professionals on the technical challenges of running a simulation course.
