Clinical Fellow in Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery, Royal Brompton Hospital
Dr Atamanyuk is currently a Clinical Fellow in Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery at Royal Brompton Hospital in London. She obtained her MD in 2000 from the National Medical University, Kiev, Ukraine. She then worked at Paediatric and Neonatal Cardiac Surgery and Intensive Care in Amosov Institute and Ukrainian Childrens Cardiac Center in Kiev, Ukraine. With a Schollarship from the International Heart School she was a Fellow in Paediatric Cardial Surgery at Ospedale Infantile Regina Margherita in Turin, Italy in 2003-2004, and obtained Master degree in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna at University of Pisa in 2004. She completed her training in Cardiac Surgery in 2006 at the Institute of Postraduate Training in Kiev, Ukraine. From 2008 to 2010 she was a trainee in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and from 2010 to 2012 a Senior Clinical fellow in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery. Her main interest is neonatal heart surgery. I am interested in surgical education and have designed innovative models to enable cardiothoracic engagement in simulation. I have presented my findings nationally and internationally.
