Consultant Paediatric Intensivist, Royal Brompton Hospital
Dr Desai is an experienced paediatric consultant and educator who worked in PICU at St Mary’s Hospital, the ECMO unit at Great Ormond Street and for the Children’s Acute Transport Service before coming to Royal Brompton. Among his research projects Dr Desai has looked at the impact of simulation training on team members when involved in actual resuscitation events. Dr Desai is a graduate of the Children’s Hospital Boston Simulation Instructors workshop and a London Deanery STeLI-trained facilitator.
Dr Desai sits on Education Committee of IPSSW (International Pediatric Simulation Symposia & Workshops) and is an active member of the Paediatric Intensive Care Society Education, Learning and Simulation (PICSELS) group.
Dr Desai teaches regularly on the SPRinT Introductory and Advanced Facilitator Courses.
